City of Johannesburg Internship programme 2021
This internship programme is an intervention by the City of Johannesburg to address the growing demand by tertiary institution for students to undergo on-the-job exposure, as a pre-requisite to acquire an academic qualification or as a requirement after the acquisition of an academic qualification.
The City of Johannesburg has the following Internship opportunities available for a period NOT exceeding eighteen (18) months.
Requirements:
- Grade 12 / Matric;
- Computer literacy;
- Must be able to work extended hours as and when required;
- Ages between 18 – 35 years; and
- Only City of Joburg residents will be considered
The following Internship Opportunities are open for applications:
Admin Assistant Interns
- Matric/Grade 12,
- Certificate in Public Admin at NQF level 6 or any relevant qualifications.
Finance Interns
- Diploma in Financial Management / Accounting
- or related tertiary qualification in Financial Accounting or Financial Management registered at SAQA 6 with at least 360 credits;
- or Matric plus enrolled for a Certificate/Diploma in Financial Management or Accounting
- or related tertiary qualification in Financial Accounting or Financial Management registered at SAQA level 5 with an enrolment letter at current tertiary institution;
Administration Interns
Diploma (NQF level 6) in:
- Administration
- Public Administration
- Business Management
GCTO Support Interns
- Matric plus a Diploma/Degree in IT registered at SAQA level 6 with at least 360 credits;
PPM Support Interns
Matric plus a Diploma/Degree in:
- Computer Science,
- Information Systems,
- Business Administration,
- or related field,
Qualification must be registered at SAQA level 6 with at least 360 credits;
End User Support Interns
- Matric plus a National Diploma/Degree in Computer Science Technology registered at SAQA level 6 with at least 360 credits;
- Or Matric and/or enrolled for CompTIA A+ and N+ Certification with an enrolment letter at current tertiary institution;
- Must have Knowledge of project management tools, methods and best practices, such as those defined by the Project Management Body of Knowledge is crucial;
ICT Risk and Governance Interns
- Matric plus a National Diploma/Degree in IT or equivalent, registered at SAQA level 6 with at least 360 credits;
CSC Analyst Interns
- Matric plus a National Diploma/Degree in IT or equivalent, registered at SAQA level 6 with at least 360 credits;
CSC Digital Forensic Interns
- Matric plus a National Diploma/Degree in IT, registered at SAQA level 6 with at least 360 credits;
CSC Reverse Engineering Specialist Interns
- Matric plus a National Diploma/Degree in IT, registered at SAQA level 6 with at least 360 credits;
Cyber Security Administrator Interns
- Matric plus a National Diploma/Degree in IT, registered at SAQA level 6 with at least 360 credit
Cyber Incident Responder Interns
- Matric plus a National Diploma/Degree in IT, registered at SAQA level 6 with at least 360 credit
Service Desk Agent Interns
- Matric plus a Diploma in IT or equivalent qualification registered at SAQA with at least 360 credits;
- Or Matric and/or enrolled for a Diploma/Technical Certificate in IT or equivalent qualification registered at SAQA level 5 with an enrolment letter at current tertiary institution;
