TWK Agri has the following vacancy available: Trainee Insurance Broker within the Insurance Department at Piet Retief, Mpumalanga.
Responsibilities:
- Gathering information from clients, assessing their insurance needs and risk profile
- Building and maintaining ongoing relationships with clients including scheduling and attending meetings and understanding the nature of clients’ businesses
- Foreseeing clients’ insurance needs, such as policy renewals
- Researching insurance companies’ policies and negotiating with underwriters to find the right product fit for the client’s needs
- Arranging specialized insurance cover where needed. This may involve preparing reports to substantiate cover placements
- Assisting client with operational risk management that may lead to non-conventional insurance placements e.g. Alternative risk transfers
- Renewing and / or amending existing policies
- Assisting clients on risk placement and claims service
- Marketing and acquiring new clients
- Developing relationships with all stakeholders in the value chain
- Policy administration and record keeping
- Keeping up with industry changes and new developments
Qualifications:
- Matric / Grade 12
- Relevant degree (Accounting / Finance / Business Management / Marketing / Risk Management)
Competencies:
- Computer literate
- Confidence in negotiation
- Interpersonal skills
- Analytical skills & accuracy or attention to detail
- Verbal, written communication and presentation skills
