Department Environment Forestry And Fisheries invites unemployed youth to apply for the following entry level position.
Records Clerk
Salary: R173 703 per annum

Requirements:
- A Grade 12 plus relevant experience in records management.
Competencies:
- Knowledge of registry processes and practices as well as the ability to capture data.
- Knowledge of storage and retrieval procedures in terms of the working environment.
- Knowledge and understanding of legislative frameworks governing the Public Service.
- Good communications and computer skills.
- Planning and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and under pressure
Responsibilities:
- Administration of incoming mail and correspondence.
- Administer and maintain files;
- Receive documents for disposal in terms of the National Archives Act.
- Provide registry counter service; process departmental mail in line with the applicable prescripts.
- Despatch of departmental mail/file and correspondence;
- Ensure that official documents and correspondence are processed.
