The DPSA is the short name for the Department of Public Service and Administration. If you are looking for government jobs this is probably your first stop. DPSA vacancies get updated every friday of the week. Careers are the DPSA are very popular because they are a very stable and respected employer. The DPSA circular lists the goverment jobs that are available and you can apply for them using the Z83 form. As well as government jobs you can also see the government internships that are available or the learnerships available. You can also look on the DPSA career portal to see if they have any bursaries available.

Z83 form and instructions
- Applications must be accompanied by a Z83 form (Download Here) or , or obtainable from any Public Service Department or DP SA.
- Applications must include recent updated comprehensive CV (previous experience must be comprehensively detailed, i.e. positions held and dates), certified copies of all qualifications, academic record and ID document.
- Failure to submit the requested documents / information will result in your application not being considered.
- It is the applicant’s responsibility to have foreign qualifications evaluated by the South African Qualification Authority (SAQA).
- Applicants will be expected to be available for selection interviews and assessments at a time, date and place as determined by the Department.
