The National Student Financial Aid Scheme, NSFAS staff have returned from their festive season break to let the eager class of 2019 know if they have been approved for funding to study at college or varsity in 2020.
The NSFAS funding is the mostly popular with young South Africans if they qualify for it as since former President Jacob Zuma announced fee-free higher education the funding does not have to be paid back.
Young South Africans from families with an annual income of less than R350 000 per annum are eligible for funding from NSFAS.
Applications for funding in the 2020 academic year closed at the end of November 2019 and it was announced that applicants would know if they were successful from the 6th of January 2020.
