CSIR Internship programme 2020

Job Description

The CSIR in partnership with MerSETA is offering work integrated learning opportunity to students who require experiential training in order to fulfil national diploma requirements.

The programme provides opportunities to students to gain practical experience that augments their theoretical studies under the guidance of more experienced professionals. This opportunity bridges the gap between the academia and practical application, which makes candidates more employable.

The programme is spread across various fields of science, engineering and technology (SET) sector.

Applicants should be studying towards the following qualifications:

  • Electrical Engineering;
  • Mechatronics Engineering;
  • Chemical engineering;
  • Electro mechanical engineering;
  • Mechanical Engineering;
  • Information Technology;
  • Electrical/Electronic Engineering (light current);
  • Biotechnology & Polymer Technology.

Requirements:

  • A South African citizen;
  • Full-time enrolment at a University of Technology in any of the above area of study;
  • Must meet university minimum requirements for experimental  training (P1).

  • A copy of the identity document;
  • A complete resume;
  • Latest academic transcript;
  • Proof of registration;
  • Letter from the university stating the P1 requirements.
