The Western Cape Forum for Intellectual Disability (WCFID) has, since its inception in 1971, played a pivotal role in the development of skills, knowledge and the advancement of rights within the intellectual disability sector.

- Degree in Health Sciences/Education/Social Science
- Training and experience in research

- 5 years work experience, preferably in social development/health/education research/disability studies
- Strong computer literacy, data collection, analysis and report writing skills
- Excellent communication skills and an ability to engage with community-based NGOs
- Research experience with an ability to put across complex issues in simple, understandable language
- An ability to work independently and within a team
- Ability and willingness to travel within the Western Cape
- Fluency in English and isiXhosa (Afrikaans would be an advantage), spoken and written
- Driver’s license
Able to start by February 2019.
