UNISA is looking for 20 Temporary Computer Lab Assistants in the following areas:

  • Durban (x16),
  • Richards Bay (x2),
  • Wild Coast (x2).

Purpose of the job:

To render administrative assistance to the Micro Computer Laboratory of the region in order to provide a quality service to students who do their computer practical work in the laboratory and /or who need to write computer-based tests and exams.

Job requirements:

  • Grade 12 Certificate
  • Computer literacy – office automation programmes
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Available to assume duty on 02 January 2015

Recommendations

  • Experience working in a computer laboratory environment
  • ICT qualification or studying towards with programming as a module

Key performance Areas

  • Assist students in Micro Computer Laboratories
  • Provide assistance to the Micro Laboratory Supervisor
  • Assist with laboratory bookings
  • Attend to all enquiries within the laboratory
  • Ad hoc duties
  • Assist students and personnel in the study centre
