JOHANNESBURG – A previously unemployed graduate took both the usual, and unusual step to try gain employment in South Africa.
Malwandla Hadebe, a qualified chemical engineer literally took to the streets armed with a cardboard sign and her CV.
The move has paid off very quickly as she’s since been contacted by energy and chemical company Sasol.
*Update* We have spoken to Malwandla. She has submitted her CV to us and it is now with our HR team. Thanks again for the tweets.

Job seeking in this depressed economic climate is clearly difficult, even for those with qualifications.
The country has thousands of graduates looking for work.
* eNCA caught up with Hadebe to hear her story — watch the video report in the gallery above.
