Plant People was established in the early 1980’s. It is a dynamic business specialising in interior and exterior landscaping for all events. We pioneered the industry of short term plant rentals. Our professional horticulturists and assistants install and maintain water features and fountains, plant displays and individual planters. We have another division that does office plant rentals and maintenance that will service your individual requirements.
We have a large selection of containers which range from troughs and nursery pots to upmarket terracotta, ceramic and stainless steel pots. We also have a range of small bowls for tables and counter tops.
Our aim is to maintain an exceptionally high standard of plant quality, which we achieve at our nursery in Hout Bay, where we grow and acclimatise all the high quality plants used in our installations. Should anyone require plants that we don’t normally carry, given enough time, we will happily source them. Plants are an essential part of any exhibition or corporate environment as they lift the ambiance with their different shapes, colours and textures.
We can proudly tell you that we look after 95% of event organisers in the Western Cape, and we have also gone as far as East London for the 2001 SA Open Golf Championships, and George for The Presidents Cup Golf 2003.
Some of the bigger events that we have done over the years are: 1995 World Cup Rugby, Africa Aerospace & Defence (AAD), J & B Met, Opening of Parliament, Volvo Round the World Yacht Race – to mention but a few. Some of our regular clients are alphabetically:

Requirements
- Good customer relations
- Good management and organisational skills
- Computer literate
- Drivers licence
- Minimum standard of Matric or higher
- Live in or close to Hout Bay
