Key Responsibilities
– Install, tests, connects, commissions, maintains and modifies electrical equipment, wiring and control systems – Coordinate with assigned Foreman and/or other trades for the purpose of completing projects and work orders efficiently – Ensure optimum plant availability by efficient diagnosis, repair and maintenance of all electrical systems and equipment – Inspect electrical systems and their components for the purpose of evaluating condition, identifying necessary repairs and recommending preventive maintenance – Inspect and diagnose AC and DC motors in running and stopped status – Prepare written materials (e.g. repair status, activity logs, etc.) for the purpose of documenting activities and/or conveying information – Required to work standby and overtime as required
Minimum Requirements
– Grade 12 or N2 Engineering – N3 will be prefered – Recognised Trade Test – Electrical – 2 – 5 years Post Apprentice Experience – focus on electrical Fualt Finding and Plant Maintenance – Valid Driving Licence
