Invitation to Participate in the Internship Programme of the Independent Development Trust

The IDT is inviting applications from unemployed graduates who seek to acquire meaningful work experience in the various fields as identified below and are interested in joining the Independent Development Trust as potential employees. This is not permanent employment but an opportunity for unemployed graduates to acquire relevant experience.

Requirements: Applicants must be in possession of a diploma/degree in any of the following fields:

Head Office: Pretoria

  • Human Resource: HRM, HRD and IR (5 posts)
  • Information Technology – (3 posts)
  • Finance: Financial, Management and Project Accounting (6 posts)
  • Communication (2 posts)
  • Legal 1 (post)

Eastern Cape

  • Finance (1 post)
  • Quantity Surveyors (2 posts)
  • Civil Engineer (1 post)

Free State

  • Administration and Finance (1 post)
  • Civil Engineering/Quantity Survey/Construction and Building (2 posts)

KwaZulu-Natal

  • Civil Engineering/Quantity Survey/Construction and Building (4 posts)
  • Administration and Finance (1 post)

Mpumalanga

  • Administration and Finance (1 post)
  • Quantity Surveying/Civil/Mechanical/ Electrical Engineering (2 posts)

Northern Cape

Applicants should be in possession of the following skills:

  • Computer literacy
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.

Note: Interns will be allocated mentors and will be placed in the identified IDT offices nationwide. Applicants are encouraged to apply for internships in their respective provinces. Successful candidates will sign a 12-month internship contract. Interns will be paid a stipend for the duration of the internship contract.

Kindly note that this internship programme is only available to applicants who have never participated in any internship in either a private or public institution.
