HR Internship Opportunity at Metropolitan

This HR Internship contract position is currently available in the Human Resources Department at Metropolitan Health division based at our office in Durban.

The Incumbent will be responsible for:

  • Recruitment Administration including placing advertisements on Recruitment Portals, compiling of recruitment packs, scheduling of interviews and technical assessments, finalising of all appointment documents and related processes
  • Administration relating to termination of employees eg. Resignation, Retirement etc
  • Creation and maintenance of all hardcopy and electronic employee files
  • Assistance with updating and maintaining HR data eg. Headcount report, Industrial Relations report, Recruitment Dashboard
  • Dealing with HR queries accurately and timeously
  • Planning and organising HR activities eg. HR Regional Meetings
  • HR administration and assistance with HR projects eg Wellness events, Reward and Recognition
  • Provide support to the HR Consultants and HR Business Partner when necessary

The applicant should meet these requirements:

  • Matric
  • HR degree or diploma
  • A good understanding of administrative processes and Human Resources terminology
  • Previous experience in a Human Resources Department or similar environment
  • Computer literacy: MS Word, Excel and Outlook
