Atlas Copco is looking to hire 6 Drivers and Shift Assistants at the Mining & Rock Excavation Technique site in Middelburg, Mpumalanga.

General Responsibilities
The Incumbents will report directly to Shift Supervisor. The Shift Assistants main responsibility lies with the Drill string management and Motor vehicle is only to be used for official company business.
Adhere to Atlas Copco Company Rules and regulations.
Site specific Responsibilities
- Ensure that all equipment are kept and maintained in safe and operational condition.
- Comply fully, at all times with Contractors Pack for Site.
- Perform all duties as specified
- Ensure compliance with contract requirements
- Replace redundant equipment as and when required in the prescribed manner
- Keep accurate records on meters drilled and stock movement
- Submit reports on time
- Ensure good relations with mine at all times
- Regularly attend relative mine meetings and discussions
- Report any problems to Site manager timorously
- Practice and adhere to Mine drug and alcohol free policy
Requirements
- Grade 12 educational certificate or knowledge required through experience in the relevant field
- Valid driver’s license
- Good understanding of the Drill and Blast Hole industry in Opencast Mines
Competencies
- Have good people and managements skills
- Good communication skills
- Track record of project management in the opencast mining industry
- Computer literate in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
