Job Title Personal Investments Analyst

Location – Town / City Cape Town

To support the Personal Investments business division

Duties & Responsibilities

  1. Provide support to the head of personal investments and the strategy execution manager.
  2.  Co-ordinating, updating and proofing monthly, quarterly and annual collateral outputs for Personal Investments. Including, but not limited to, Monthly Fund Fact Sheets, Personal Investment Management pack, Domestic and International Roadshow Storyboards.
  3. Engage in strategic project support activities such as scoping, recording and tracking project tasks and end user testing.
  4. Support with escalations and investigations in client and account manager queries.
  5. Develop an understanding and keep abreast of industry and competitor trends.
  6. Conduct varied analysis of the competitor landscape; including competing funds, pricing models, performance and tactical changes by competitors.
  7. Assist in the design of reports, co-ordinate and qualify the accuracy and disseminate to internal stakeholders.

Ideal Experience

  1. Understanding of the financial services industry
  2. Database management and advanced Excel skills
  3. Analytical/quantitative/IS background
  4. Ideal Qualifications 1. Commerce or related qualification –B Comm, B Bus Sci or CA
  5. Numerical subjects
  6. Competencies & Personality Attributes 1. Confident
  7. Strong attention to detail
  8. Strong numeracy skills
  9. Investment industry understanding would be great but not essential
  10. Good organizational skills
  11.  Proactive and able to use initiative
  12.  Self-starter
  13. Ability to multi-task
  14.  Highly organized and efficient
  15. Eager to learn

  17.  Loyalty and integrity

Most Important Attribute

  1. Attention to detail, a willingness to learn and be hands on, well organized and good at multi tasking.
  2. Willing to do the hard yards to gain experience and launch their career in the asset management industry.
  3. Systems Knowledge 1. MSOffice – Advanced Excel
  4. Database and PowerPoint experience an advantage
  5.  Business Intelligence experience an advantage
