Minimum Requirements…

ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS:
• Grade 12
• Degree/Diploma in Computer Sciences/ Information Technology
EXPERIENCE:
• No experience needed
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
• Knowledge of the principles and techniques of computerized information management, including system design and analysis, programming tools and languages, hardware, software, and network capabilities.
• Knowledge of trends and standards of the computer industry.
• Knowledge of server and workstation hardware and troubleshooting abilities.
• Skill in trouble shooting and problem solving.
• Knowledge of instructional techniques and procedures.
• Knowledge of multiple computer operating systems, gateways and programs.
• Skill in maintaining records and writing reports.
• Skill in oral and written communication.
• Skill in operating various office equipment: calculator, copier, fax machine, personal computers, and various printers

 

Job Specification…

Aveng Manufacturing is seeking to employ an information technology Intern to assit the I.T team . The programme is offered for a period of 12 Months which effect from 08 June 2014, it only applies to South African citizens. The Successful candidate will be required to sign a contract for duration of the training period.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS (DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES):
• Support the IT team with the maintenance of hardware, software and other systems.
• Troubleshoot issues with equipment like printers, computers and servers.
• Run software updates backups when requested.
• Research hosting options and report pricing and system options to supervisors.
• Research unusual bugs or issues the company encounters.
• Uploading documentation to server based and web platforms.
• Back end web support.
• Data entry and server based storage documentation maintenance
• Deal with daily IT activities.
