Science & Technology Internship Programme 2018 at UDDI

Location: Nelson Mandela Bay

Unemployed GRADUATES in Science, Engineering and Technology ONLY
Required to volunteer in the DST’S National Youth Service Programme

Volunteers will be based at The Nelson Mandela Bay Science & Technology Centre
3 positions for persons aged 18-35 are available

This is a 12 month contract position

Stipends paid to volunteers per month are as follows:

  • National Diploma (R4000),
  • Bachelor’s Degree/B.Tech (R4500),
  • Honours (R5000),
  • Master’s (R6000),
  • PhD (R7200).

Volunteers will be required to: (list here the main things you will expect them to do. I recommend not more than 4 so that everything still fits on one page)

  • Assist with school science support programmes
  • Facilitate outreach programmes
  • Facilitate programmes offered at the centre

Requirements

A Science Degree or an Engineering qualification with Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry or Biology will be to your advantage.

  • Good communication skills
  • Technical skills
  • Ability to work with people

All travel and relocation costs will be for the candidates’ own expenses.
