SANBS: General Laboratory Assistant Opportunity

The South African National Blood Service is looking for a General Laboratory Assistant in Middleburg (Mpumalanga).

Job Purpose:

The preparation, delivery and collection of blood bank hampers, routine bio-hazardous waste disposal and cleaning duties according to relevant SOP’€™s.

SANBS is a non-profit organisation; therefore, ownership of its assets does not vest in its members. In the event that SANBS should stop operating, its assets would have to be transferred to an organisation with similar goals and objectives.

Requirements:

  • Minimum Education Required: Grade 10
  • Overtime as and when required
  • Shift work and weekend duties as required
  • General physical health and reasonable endurance and mobility
  • Proficient eye-sight
