National Youth Service Building Maintenance Programme

The Mpumalanga Department of Public Works, Roads and Transport invites all unemployed youth candidates to register for the selection on the National Youth Service Building Maintenance Programme (NYS/BMP). The primary objective of the NYS/BMP is to inculcate culture of the service and entrepreneurial skills development amongst the youth while on the other hand the DPWRT is also contributing towards achieving government objective in the fighting against poverty, unemployment and inequality.

If you are between the ages of 18 and 35, have a minimum qualification of at least a Grade 12, live in the Mpumalanga Province and are willing to enter the programme for a year of experience and on the job training, come to the compulsory briefing sessions at your nearest local municipality. You must be a South African citizen holding a valid South African Identity Document, unemployed and have experience in the built environment.

All briefing sessions start as detailed below:

  • Thembisile Local Municipailty (KwaMhlanga Hall) – 16 November 2015 at 2pm
  • Victor Khanya Local Municipailty (Delmas Community Hall) – 17 November 2015 at 9am
  • Emalahleni Local Municipailty (Lynville Community Hall) – 17 November 2015 at 2pm
  • Steve Tshwete Local Municipailty (Eric Jiyane Community Hall) – 18 November 2015 at 9am
  • Emakhazeni Local Municipailty (Belfast Community Hall) – 18 November 2015 at 2pm
  • Emakhazeni Local Municipailty (Waterval Boven Community Hall) – 19 November 2015 at 9am
